10 Nicki Minaj Fights – Her Most Shocking Beefs 

Nicki Minaj has been known for her run-ins with fellow celebs since she rose to fame in 2007. The outspoken rapper never holds her tongue, expresses her thoughts on her tracks and lets us know exactly what’s running through her mind.

Although she admitted on The Ellen Show that she regrets some of her past beefs with famous faces, there really is no going back in time to change it. While she works on being nicer to people, we’ve revived the top 10 Nicki Minaj fights and feuds with celebrities…

1. Nicki Minaj vs. Miley Cyrus

Marked as one of Miley’s most controversial moments, Nicki calling Miley out on the VMA stage even took the Wrecking Ball singer by surprise. After Miley made a few negative comments about the female rapper in a New York Times interview, Nicki was fuelled to have it out with the singer. However, she waited for the perfect moment to confront her frenemy – the VMA stage, by saying “And now, back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press” she fired, before delivering one the biggest standout lines of 2015, “Miley, what’s good?”

And although these two seemed to put the past behind them, Minaj recently slammed Miley in a new episode of Queen Radio saying, “And the white girl cry and made the black girl seem like she was a bad guy… She disrespected me in a magazine article for no reason.” It seems like Nicki won’t let bygones be bygones.

2. Nicki Minaj vs. Taylor Swift

The beef with Taylor started back when she was nominated for ‘Video of the Year’ in 2015, and Nicki wasn’t. Annoyed at the matter, outspoken Minaj took to Twitter to say that the show “celebrated women with very slim bodies”. (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce and Mark Ronson were the four that bagged themselves a nomination).

In true Taylor-style, she jumped on Twitter to defend herself and tell Nicki ‘what’s good’ by saying, “I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot…”

Of course, the spat didn’t end there with a trail of tweets flying back and forth. Weeks after, the pair pushed their differences aside and performed together at the 2015 MTV VMAs. Swift later confirmed in an interview with NME that she “sends text messages now” – it’s clear Taylor doesn’t want to get in another scuffle with the Barbie Tingz rapper.

3. Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B

The feud of the year is none other than the famous fight between Nicki and Cardi B. Although you might have thought that being the biggest female rappers might bring these feisty gals closer together, on the contrary, it built long-lasting hate between the female artists.

The bad blood first started when Nicki liked a video that mocked Cardi B’s freestlye rap. And since then, although they both collaborated on track, Motorsports, fans noticed that their verses threw major shade at each other.

They may have seemed fine at the Met Gala and even stopped for a little chat, but things took a turn for the worst when Cardi publicly humiliated herself at Harper’s Bazaar’s ICON party. She got into a physical altercation with Nicki and her crew, screaming abuse and throwing her shoes in the air. Somehow, she managed to catch herself in the face and got escorted out of the party altogether.

Nicki later addressed the incident on her talk show, expressing how embarrassed and humiliated she was following their public beef.

4. Nicki Minaj vs. Lil’ Kim

This ongoing feud goes way back to the beginning of Nicki’s career when she was first compared to the original female rapper, Lil’ Kim. She accused Minaj of stealing her flow, style and sound (although we don’t remember Lil’ Kim having any British personas!).

In true Barbie style, Nicki stayed completely silent until she dropped her track, Black Friday where she disses Lil’ Kim. And if you thought the OG rapper let it rest – you were mistaken. Kim fired back with her own remix to Beyoncé‘s Minaj-assisted Flawless remix. So, according to our calculations, it’s just a matter of time before Nicki fires back with one of her own tracks.

5. Nicki Minaj vs. Remy Ma

This long standing vendetta goes back to 2007 when Nicki released the Dirty Money freestyle on her Playtime Is Over mixtape. It was suspected that her lyrics “Tell that bitch with the crown to run it like Chris Brown” were directed at fellow rapper, Remy Ma.

After many subliminal digs, Remy dropped a 7-minute track (ShETHER) dissing Nicki accusing her of ghostwriting and getting plastic surgery. And although the popular star fired back with her own song, No Frauds, it didn’t gain as much popularity as ShETHER. Without letting the bad blood go, Nicki then challenged Remy by saying “You got 72 hours to drop a hit and I’ll give you half a million dollars if you can book ANY show or interview without mentioning the Queen name.”

6. Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey

Placing two queens on a judging panel is never a good idea – and this was proven when Nicki and Mariah failed to see eye-to-eye whilst working on the 12th season of American Idol. Mariah accused Nicki of being under-qualified for the judge position as she felt that the rapper couldn’t sing.

After some time, Nicki had enough of Mariah’s divaish ways and yelled at her until they both stormed off the set. By that point, Nicki threatened Mariah by telling her that she would shoot her. Following the massive blow up, the stars announced their departure from the show on the same day.

7. Nicki Minaj vs. Travis Scott

This outburst seemed to have come out of the blue after Nicki partied with Travis and the Kardashian clan a few weeks prior. Yet, after the release of her album, she accused Travis of manipulating marketing and sales through Kylie merchandise and daughter, Stormi, to get the number 1 album spot on Billboard 200 for Astroworld above her own album, Barbie Tingz.

Although Travis and Kylie never fought back, it did lead to an awkward encounter when the youngest self-made billionaire bumped into the female rapper at the Met Gala, forcing her to do an immediate U-turn just to avoid Nicki.

8. Nicki Minaj vs. Farrah Abraham

In 2016, Nicki called out Farrah for her bad behaviour on Twitter by saying “Instead of dragging your mother, learn the difference between “you’re” & “your”, ding bat”, to which Abraham replied “Cause your [sic] a parent right? Your [sic] videos look like porn Horrible good luck being negative #Godbless busy making TV.”

Nicki hit back with “your mother didn’t open her legs and have that child. Be happy she’s helping you! Stop talking to her like that on TV u lil c*nt @F1abraham”. Farrah fought back with “To be clear my mom doesn’t help me I help her. I love & care for my mom. Stop disgusting talk @NICKIMINAJ”.

The Twitter fight went on for what seemed like forever and Minaj ended up wanting to have the last word, saying, “be happy she’s helping!” But Farrah didn’t drop it; she then made her daughter film a video calling Nicki a “total loser”. How mature and responsible, right?

9. Nicki Minaj vs. Demi Lovato

At the 2016 Met Gala, Demi and Nicki were both dressed by Jeremy Scott, but an awkward picture of Nicki giving Demi the side-eye appeared online. Feeling some major disappointment, Demi posted this picture on Instagram with the caption, “This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met #cool #sofuckingawkward #notforme #sweatpants #forensicfiles #whatsgood p.s. some of y’all need to learn how to take a joke.. I’m obviously laughing at the fact that 1. I look incredibly awkward and 2. That the shade being thrown in this picture actually gives me life.”

It was later reported that Demi left early to attend an AA meeting as she felt the need to drink after feeling secluded by a fellow celeb; assuming that this relates to the queen of rap. Although nothing further was said, it’s clear that Demi isn’t Nicki’s biggest fan.

10. Nicki Minaj vs. Iggy Azalea

If there’s one thing we know about Nicki, it’s that she likes to throw major shade during award acceptance speeches. And she did just that during the BET Awards in 2015 by insinuating that Iggy uses a ghostwriter. During her speech, she said, “What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.”

Azalea didn’t take the bate though – instead, she responded to the rumors by saying, “If I had won the BET award that would’ve been great but it wasn’t my year & I don’t mind – so you shouldn’t either.” Writing on Instagram at the time, Iggy continued, “Generally speaking I’m unbothered by anything that ‘happened’ at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time.” Putting the feud to bed, for good!

Although Nicki’s words might hit a nerve with some – there’s one thing for sure; the rapper says what’s on her mind and doesn’t let anyone put her down.
