The Witcher is a Polish-American fantasy drama web television series produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. It is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season consisted of eight episodes and was released on Netflix in its entirety on December 20, 2019. It is based on The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, which are collections of short stories that precede the main Witcher saga. Before the first season had been released, Netflix announced a second eight-episode season, to be released in 2021.

And in the neighboring kingdom, carrying out a responsible assignment, he ran into an unknown creature attacking local residents.
Eyewitnesses claim that the creature has the ability to acquire a human face, but carefully hides it from prying eyes. During the hunt for the monster, the witcher set a trap that becomes destructive for the brother of the future queen, who is subject to the curse of conversion, he dies. Together with the bride, whom the hero delivered to the kingdom, he brings grief. Suddenly, local residents began to disappear, children and livestock began to disappear. The battle with the mysterious monster that appeared turned out to be the reason for the destruction of the royal army in the first attack.
