The elderly Countess Violet Crawley, having visited London doctors and learned that she has an incurable disease, conducts a secret conversation with her eldest granddaughter Mary, entrusting the fate of the abbey and the whole family to a determined and reasonable young woman. At this time, she receives news of the death of her longtime lover, who bequeathed her a luxurious villa in the south of France, and the owner of the castle, Count Robert, agrees to the assertive producer to film in their family home.
Not wanting to watch strangers work in the mansion where the family lives, all the Crawleys, along with their children and grandchildren, sons-in-law, Lady and Lord Merton, former butler Carson, maid Anna and other servants, leave for the Cote dAzur. Amazingly beautiful house, Mediterranean nature, wonderful sun and gentle sea bring a feeling of happiness and joy to the lives of three generations of relatives. The arrival of the charming Lucy, Lady Maud’s illegitimate daughter and heiress, and her subsequent marriage to Tom Branson add to the family’s pleasant leisure time.
