HBO’s Raised by Wolves finally revealed Mother’s origin story, and there’s a stunning revelation about who created her for the Atheist movement.

HBO’s Raised by Wolves has kept Mother’s (Amanda Collin) past as a Necromancer designed by the Mithraic to kill Atheists in the religious war on Earth close to the vest. All fans know is that the murder-bot was caught by the Atheists and reprogrammed to be a caretaker to the new colony of kids on Keppler-22B. Well, Mother’s origin story has finally unfolded, and when we discover the identity of her creator, it’s shocking, to say the least.

Raised by Wolves centers around “two androids — Father and Mother — tasked with raising human children on Kepler-22b after the Earth was destroyed by a great war. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.”
