47-year-old Lenny Belardo had a very difficult childhood. With his parents alive, he remained in the care of his sister, who made personal adjustments to the upbringing of the child. As a nun, Mary from an early age taught her brother the wisdom of life known to her, preparing a future priest.
Since the hero’s parents were carefree and detached from the usual hippie society, the sister replaced the hero with his father and mother. She became the only person worthy of trust. In the prime of life, Belardo changes his own destiny after becoming Pope Pius XVIII. He turns out to be the youngest candidate, and therefore causes surprise among his rivals, receiving the coveted post. However, his participation in the administration of the Vatican is only part of a plan of insidious cardinals trying to manipulate an inexperienced novice. But dad catches the old people by surprise, refusing to engage in intrigues around his person. As the newly made head of the church, the hero is faced with contempt from the environment. His relationship with Spencer, once acting as a mentor, is finally collapsing. This is due to the fact that Michael himself was counting on an influential post, which, ironically, went to the student.
