Christopher McCandless grew up in a wealthy American family. After completing his studies at the institute, the guy was sure that he would have a brilliant career. Only Christopher decided that ordinary life would be too boring for him, and therefore he transferred all his money to charity funds, refused material wealth and went on an exciting hitchhiking trip, which was sure that he would change his life.
Back in school, the guy was always different from the others. Everyone was envious of his stamina, plus everything, he became the best in local running competitions. Exercise meant too much to him, he treated them like tests of the spirit, thanks to which you can hide from dark forces.
While on the go, Christopher is called Alexander Supertramp. While traveling, he talked with different people, lived in different cities, held various positions in temporary jobs. Every day brought him special joy, it was in this that Christopher saw the meaning of his life. The last point of the guy’s trip was Alaska, where the Supertramp existed in cold conditions, without food or other benefits.
After graduating from Emory University, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless abandons his possessions, gives his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters that shape his life.

In April 1992, Christopher McCandless arrives in a remote area called Healy, just north of Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska. Noting McCandless’ unpreparedness, the stranger who drops him off gives him a pair of gumboots. McCandless travels into the wilderness and sets up a campsite in an abandoned city bus, which he calls “The Magic Bus.” At first, McCandless is content with the isolation, the beauty of nature around him, and the thrill of living off the land. He hunts with a .22 caliber rifle, reads books, and keeps a diary of his thoughts as he prepares himself for a new life in the wild.
